I have an exotics 3W and 3H and absolutely love them... piercing ball flight, long and workable... bar-none the best woods I have ever hit. So I decided to purchase the XCG Driver as well. I got the 9* Stiff and it lives up to the guarantee... it is long. Probably an average of 25yds further than my other drivers. (Mizuno MP-001 and Hibore XL)

The problem is ... I cant work the ball with it. Before I got serious about golf I would always slice the ball... when I learned the proper swing I would typically hit a nice draw and could fade it if I needed to. I have tried everything from a stronger grip to a change in my back foot in my stance and cannot get this ball to move.

It is a low spin driver and thats why I get the extra distance. The weird thing is occasionally I will slice the ball... not a bad slice, more like an unintentional fade. Since the balls fades it should be able to draw... I just cant figure out how. Any suggestions?

Just some other info... it is a squared face angle and my swing speed is 98-103 with the driver.

Have you tried just adjusting the club face slightly open or closed to to draw or fade the ball.

If this does not work try the club face adjustments and take the club slightly inside or outside the line.

if this does not work try keep the face slightly open through the entire swing and turn your hands over to draw the ball.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Well, In Theory... dropping my back foot in my stance with the club head pointing at the target and swing around my body essentially closes the head during the swing and at impact.

Im going to the range again tomorrow and am going to try some other things. Its quite frustrating though.

In all reality... I am probably better off hitting a straight ball anyway.
