As everyone has said, the Golf Pride New Decades are hugely popular right now, but at $12 a piece they are pretty expensive. The only reason I have them is because I worked at a golf course over the summer. IE, we got stuff at cost, $7/grip!

Head to your local golf store, feel everything they've got. Matter of preference! But do give the Decades a shot, I didn't like them at first but after playing with them a bit, I love them!!

So I decided to stick with my R580xd, and considering the grips on my driver and 3 wood are about 1.5 years old, I have narrowed my list of grips down. By the way, I am looking for control and feel most importantly, I really could care less if its soft and spongey as long as it's going to give me great feel and control. Going to try out all of these at my shop next time I stop in. Here is my list:

Golf Pride Tour Velvet Cords
Golf Pride New Decades
Winn PCI Hybrid

I have the Golf Pride New Decade Multi Compound Blue/Black on my Driver and 3W. I like it a lot, I can do a 150% swing and not worry about the club flying out of my hands.

I have the Golf Pride Tour Velvets on all my irons and wedges. Nice, and somewhat cheap.

And I have a IOmic grip on my putter. Amazing.

I appreciate your reply BOMBINTHEDRIVER, and I think based upon the great feedback I have been getting I will go with the New Decade Multicompounds. A little overpriced, but I think for the driver/3 wood they will suit me well. I just got my putter regripped a few days ago with a Winn Midsize, and it just seems way to large for my tastes. My distance judgement seems to be greatly impaired, although my direction does seem better since my wrists are more stable. Now my question, do you know of any other grips similar to the IoMic putter grips? I have heard that the black Ping man grip is nearly identical. I'd prefer not to have to purchase a grip online, but if I feel that it will improve my confidence and feel with the putter, I'd pay the $20 + installation fee. So do you know of any other grips similar that I can try out? If not, I suppose I could dish out the cash, but I'd rather go with a similar grip that I can just buy at a store. Thanks!!

I decided to go with the Lamkin Crossline Cord's on my driver and 3w. The guy at the store told me that the Multicompounds will get slippery within a few months and the Crossline's will last much longer. I think they will work well for me, at least until next season.
