I got my new Vokey spin milled wedges today, 54.10 and 58.08.

Man they are a thing of beauty. Went to the range, chipped about 40 balls with each, very nice feeling, perfect bounce, versatile! I can hit it low, high, spin it, whatever I want.

Then on to the range, WOW, nice weight through the swing. They actually slowed down my swing but was hitting the 54 100 yards on the spot!

Very sweet feeling when catching them perfect. Last but not least to the trap.

OH my god, I was leaving gimme putts from 15 yards. It just works by itself. I am a very good bunker player for my hcp, but this wedge is just not fair. the 10 degree of bounce was perfect, not even a hint of digging on fluffy sand.

I am officially in love. These are my first "real" clubs in my 20 month journey through golf. Now I am thinking what good irons and woods would do to my game!

Thanks to all for the help!

They do have great feeling, but I will warn you, I thought the same thing. I dont know what you played with before the Vokeys, but I used Cleveland CG11s. I prefer the Vokeys yes, but, they dont play by themselves. I still make mistakes with them, just like I did with the Clevelands. However if you were playing something that didnt feel right, then the confidence alone will help you immensely.

Birdieman,

For me its a much bigger jump as I was playing the SW from my iron set (Tour collection $129 for the complete bag and clubs) and a fortune (walmart $5 ) lob wedge!

Maybe it was an initial reaction but man I love the way they feel.

It's downright amazing what new golf equipment and the investment in practicing on a consistent basis will both do to the mental component of this game. Keep it up - I know I will.
