New mwmber here and could use some help. I'm getting a new Scratch 56* wedge to replace my old Cleveland Reg 588 that has seen it's day. Trying to figure out which shaft to get as I play Ping ISI-K's with the JZ shafts and like them a lot. Ping's chart says to use a TT S300 which does not jive to me as it's considerably heavier than the 115g JZ's. The old Cleveland had the TT Dynamic Lite but I never did like the feel of it. Very boardy feeling to me.

I've looked at the specs of the Nippon 1050GH and the Super Peening Red and they have almost exactly the same weight as mine, same torque and kick point, but I don't have anyway to demo them.

What shafts do you use in your wedges and why have you settled on them? Was is the weight, the kick point, the feel, or just simply the looks, for those using the black nickel shafts? There are a ton of options out there, KB Tour, Rifle Spinner, etc. and I'm having a hard time wading through all the choices. Can anyone help? Oh, and if it helps any, I play to a 6.5 index and use my wedges a lot. Thanks for your input!

I heard the Rifle shafts were good for wedges such as project x and spinner but the problem is most club making places only have the mainstream shafts and often not the exotics. I actually have to get longer wedge shafts since I have out grown them and am contemplating 1 inch longer. I might go with the project x shafts as i heard great things but then again the simple dynamic golds aren't too bad, and in the end my choice would be dependant on price more than anything.

Anyway, I just thought I'd add my two cents. What have the masses to say for themselves?
