Illegal grip?

Is it illegal to grip the club with the hands seperated? More specifically, If I wanted to chip with my left hand at the butt of the club and my right hand down at the bottom of the grip (not on the shaft) would that be allowed? I know it's unorthodox, but I'm just wondering. And if it is illegal, what USGA rule specifically addresses this. Thanks for the input. I'm sure you guys will know the answer to this.

hmm...and you're not even from Canada...figured you might be a hockey player or something :p.
Few weeks back I noticed someone at my home course chipping like that. Looked quite odd, and for this guy at least, it definitely wasn't helping...if you know what I mean.

In my Datrek Rage bag:

If you're talking about the physical rubbery thing on the golf club, of course.

Of this type (the way you put your hands on the club), no, unless you're gripping the clubhead, because then you can't possibly strike at the ball with the clubhead when doing so.

      This isn't going to show you lateral dispersion at all. It's basically just a radar (for speed) launch monitor. It doesn't measure spin or anything like that. Not even launch direction.

      PGA Tour Makes Sweeping Changes Starting in 2028

      Interesting changes. The idea of relegation and promotion have always been there in a different form (getting and losing your card etc and qualifying for bigger events) but it looks like they want to define it better for top tier events. The Tour has always had A and B level events (and even lower). It will be interesting what they choose as the Challenger Series events and whether some tournaments go to the Challenger Series that used to be prestigious. Not sure how the networks will take to this knowing they have “Challenger” Series events defined that way now. Also, I’m not happy that John Henry and Theo Epstein are involved. Look what Henry has done to the Red Sox.
