When reading about the stack and tilt swing, I see that the teachers suggest that the golfer stands up on the downswing. In my opinion this would cause the golfer to lose his spine angle. But when I see swings of Stack and Tilters like Aaron Baddeley, it looks like they keep their spine angle intact to impact.

After experimenting with ST, I found that by keeping weight stacked forward (and not moving weight back to my R foot on the backswing) I was really losing my spine angle. See the attached images. I lose my so called "butt line" (left side of the square) and my head drops. However I am nailing the ball.

Any suggestions of how to keep the spine angle stable with stack and tilt? Or is the "standing up" just to offset the flaw that the ST swing causes you to lose spine angle?

I have some pictures of Aaron Baddeley. Though the camera angle is slightly off, it appears he does move slightly into the ball here (butt moves off left side of square at impact) but at the same time keeps his spine angle.

I guess what I am asking, is he compensating for moving into the ball with legwork? Is this a general feature of the stack and tilt?

If your moving in to your left side on the backswing your always going to look like your losing a bit of height from a down the line view.
