Ordered a golf bag from BenningtonGolfBags.com on 9/12/08 and no word
from them. I've emailed them two times and called three times. Pay pal
has been notified hopefully they can help. In the meantime I wouldn't
order anything from them. $179.00 down the drain???

On a whim, I decided to call the number. After about 20 rings it goes to a voicemail that says the mailbox is full.

But before you start going crazy, it is only the 18th. There are tons of places that dont send shipping info, (who knows why) especially if they use USPS. Give it a few more days and see if nothing arrives. If you dont have anything by early next week, then go crazy. You live in TN and it looks as if they are in TX (assuming they arent drop shipping). USPS could take as long as 8 business days I would think from there.

Yeah, it is still WAY early to get worried. The 12th was a Friday, which means the order probably wasn't even filled until Monday morning. Picked up by the shipping agent on Monday afternoon or even Tuesday. You are probably looking at a delivery day of Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. If the item was drop-shipped directly from the manufacturer, it could take even longer.

The site isn't exactly "professional" looking, and not answering the phone (not to mention full voicemail) is sketchy. Probably a 1-man operation. But if the bag doesn't show up and you used your credit card through PayPal, you can both file a dispute with PayPal and demand a charge-back through your bank. In the mean time, keep sending email to the seller and tell them you have contacted PayPal because of their failure to communicate with you in any way. Also, I'm not sure which bag you ordered, but there is a banner on some pages that says:

*** 2008 Clearance bags will not begin shipping until the week of Sept 29th ***

Harry,
I saw that exact same thing. I have a feeling it was one of those, those prices are pretty good on the clearance section.

Yeah you gotta wait a few more days, I'm surprised they haven't e-mailed you a tracking number, but don't worry you'll have it soon.

OK thanks people I appreciate your quick replies. I was really beginning to
worry as I've never had service like that on the net before. Anyway I'll
wait til next week to start worrying again. Thanks much

They are in Houston, which has been largely without power, phone, internet, etc. since Hurricane Ike hit last weekend.

In view of cvlngineer's information, I respectfully withdraw my complaints about Bennington Golf Bags and wish them a speedy recovery.

    • Day 21 - Good session with driver and 6i. Hitting real golf balls is quite a bit different from the foam balls, still getting used to that change.
    • There are so many videos comparing and contrasting everything that I am both overwhelmed and more than a bit skeptical. Your comments above are much more valuable than hours of you-tube videos. Generally speaking, I’d much prefer to read something that someone took the time and trouble to write (such as your comments) than a bunch of videos, or worse, meaningless reviews that seem like they are all cut and paste selections of the same script. I’m more of a RTFM type than a watcher of “instructional” videos. By way of explanation, I don’t watch TV either.  So thanks - I’ll take that under advisement. I have an H3 that I bought for $10 that I’ve been carrying around but not sure why. Seems like a cool club, but I just don’t really know what to do with it.
    • I was using the window as a mirror. Just trying to be a more aware of the feels for a better backswing. Trying to not be as closed from A1 to A2. Then not letting the club head flip inside. What I was feeling was a pressure my right wrist, and like the palm of my right hand was pushing upward against the grip of the club. My right hand was the underside of the swing path.  Going to play around with this a bit more. It looked pretty decent with mirror/window work. Just wanted to jot it down.
    • Day 4: 3/26/25 Par4Success workout followed by putting through 50 mm gates.
    • Day 249: did a stack putting session and then worked on 5 foot putts for a bit.
