I had a chance to hit one today at the range..9.5 w/ S flex Fujikura Gold shaft.

Now I had a HiBore XL that I didn't like, it would go good, sometimes and wasn't particularly long.

I didn't expect much out of it since I wasn't impressed with mine, but OMG, it hits HARD

This particular range has a 250 yd limit w/ a fence at the end, every shot I hit either hit the fence, sometimes 20+ ft from the ground, or went over it. I'm a long hitter but this might be the hottest driver I've hit..thing is amazing.

It looks nice but I'm not enthused by the purpleish paint at the bottom.

Any of you have any drivers you like better or would like to talk about? I'm all ears

I just got the tour edition of this driver, 9.5 loft, golf fujikura shaft, stiff flex, and I am hitting absolute monsters. I drove a 260 par 4, steep up hill, just yesterday with it, and i've hit just next to the green on a couple 300 yarders. I do like the sound of this, it sounds like a bomb is going off. I like the driver so much i'm looking at getting a 19 degree, 2 hybrid in the same model.

The driver is money. Love the sound.

Be careful saying anything about 300yd's around here tho, that's like walking into a thieve's den and blowing a whistle.

I was hitting some into the net at my range when my pro walked by and watched me between his lessons. Needless to say, he may have a XLS in his bag soon. he still doesn't like like my unorthodox address (I hold my grip closer towards my body on driver so the ball is positioned at the toe but impact is dead center), but he's conceeded that it works well for me.

I had a Hibore XL... didnt like it all that much.

I have an Exotics XCG ... by far the longest Fairway woods, Drivers, and Hybrids I have ever hit. Their 20 yard longer guarantee holds true.

1 Putter

from what i've read the xls is a great improvement over the x and the xl.

i have the xls 10.5 and i regret not getting the 9.5... the 10.5 really gets it too high in the air and i agree.. this driver hits real hard..

Be careful about mishits on the toe though! it dents pretty easily there...

Had the driver and the 3 wood. Hit the driver 5 times and sold it and hit the 3 wood 3 or 4 times sold it. Neither was better than what I have in my sig.

    • Day 18: 2026.01.20 Continuing work on arm raise during backswing. Starting to feel less weird, especially the slower I go. Looking like a busy week so might be the weekend before I can hit some balls.
    • It’s possible the graphite shaft has a small internal crack or a delamination. Tapping it and hearing a vibrating sound is usually a sign the shaft isn’t behaving as it should. Since the store wasn’t helpful, consider taking it to a club fitter or a pro shop that can check the shaft flex and integrity. If it’s defective, you might be able to get a replacement from the manufacturer.
    • It’s interesting how much a 3D system changes your understanding. Observing top players in full detail and realizing the trail knee shouldn’t fully extend is a great example of why being open to new info is so important. I like your approach: not trying to be “right,” but trying to teach correctly based on actual evidence. Makes sense why golfers would benefit from this perspective.
    • I would say both are equally not the best for golf. Is it better than nothing, sure.  Golf is an athletic motion. Professional golfers are doing a comprehensive workout routine focusing on strength, power, flexibility, stability. They might include some yoga into the routine. I would put both of them in the recovery bin, not golf enhancement bin.  If you want to increase swing speed, core strength, longevity in golf and life, then lift heavy weights.
