The new one they have out. I just so happened to notice ye olde local driving range had a new, never hit 6 iron with a DGS300 shaft in it..

SO I took it out to give it a proper break in. Thin but comfortable at address, nice, not incredible butter feel, excellent accuracy, the best way to describe them would be "pure" irons. No crazy side spin like w/ the G5s (Purchased at golf store, authentic), no clunky operation, nothing there that shouldn't be.

Distance was nice, not incredibly long but I did manage to muscle one up about 180 yds..then I hit the G5, promptly dropped it and went to hit my Hogan, which really will tell you how you hit it..

Forgiveness was very good, all I'd ever need. Heavier shots lost distance of course, thin ones didn't lose much but weren't pretty..all shots well in play..a very calm iron, it didn't get overly snappy when you hit it off the screws..on the screws, it feels very nice and flies mid trajectory, good distance, great accuracy.

Would I put them in the bag? Damn right.

Mizuno has some very nice things being said about them. For forged irons they are near the top. I got back into playing golf frequently last year and bought Ping i5s. When they were being sent back to adjust the lie I hit some Cobra SS forged. I bought them for $150. They are the clubs I use now. I am saving the Pings as a trade in for the new Vokeys in November. The Mizunos that most closely resembles the Cobras are the MP-57, forged cavity-backs. Recently at my local golf shop I hit some irons that I was curious about. I learned that I like my irons enough for now. The MP-60's had some good feel to them just into the net. These are between the 57 and 67. With the 62's being similar to the 60's, dual muscule vs cut, I wonder if time is limited for the 60's. The above post doesn't rave about feel, which is a priority to me. I haven't hit the 62's, but time may be limited for the 60's.
