I wasn't an immediate fan of the Tour Burner (hence sticking to the Burner 07) but with a Burner 08 fairway wood (T5) on demo in my bag, i've grown accustomed the triangular shape - I can't wait to try the 09!

What y'all think?

I was just looking at that today. I think it looks good. Time will tell, of course, re: performance. But it looks promising.
Having said that, If I splash out for a new driver soon its more likely to be the Dymo, one of the 909's, or the Rapture V2.

I have the 08 Tour Burner and I love it. It maybe took a few swings to start to forget about the different look and start to enjoy the results this thing helps to achieve. Very solid driver, I'm sure the 09 version will be even better. Gotta love technology, they just keep pushing the envelope don't they?!

Right now I am in Oregon, an in the area that I am staying at there is a big store and they had the '09 Burner's, and every employee that I asked about that said that it is not as solid a driver as the Tour Burner. They all said that it doesn't preform as good as the Tour Burner. Because of these comments I didn't demo it so I cannot offer my personal comments.

I expected this, as most pros will tell you that the recent improvements in clubs has been the shafts, not the clubs.

      First going to spain for a long weekend in March probably going to play La Quinta, Los Arqueros and Fina Cortesin, and first week in May will compete in the Crawsnest Tassie at Carnoustie golf links, that will be a full week of golf golf golf and more golf. Did play it last year for the first time and it is awesome.

      Day 47: simulator day! Played St. Andrew’s and shot a +1. Not bad, especially with having to putt at this simulator set up. Had about 5 minutes at the end to work on some feels as well.

      I think you're saying it's preposterous to think that the areas on this club are anything like what's shown here: 30mm toward the toe or heel loses only 5% distance? Highly, highly doubtful. So a guy who hits the ball there and normally hits the ball about 250… will hit it instead about 238. By missing the sweet spot by about 1.2 inches? Highly, highly doubtful. Heck, the high heel barely gets into the red, and orange is only "up to" 10%! @M2R, I've never heard of "Ask Golf Nut" but I'm dubious of his claims in the video and really, really dubious of what's on his site: "Why AskGolfNut Is the Most Trusted Data-Driven Golf Resource". Hmmmmmm.
