I wish people would stop asking stupid questions..

if you want a putter thats not an insert putter, and your going to buy from a store (aka not buying a slighter, byron, etc that are all custom order). you really get Mizzy, Scotty, or Rife, maybe ping these days.

If anyone else made a putter that worked for me as well as his, i would use it, but none of them do, so i do use them.

Look on any tour really, people who are under other companys contracts use scottys..why? because they work.

just a name it is almost and exact replica of the old ping putter. more than half the time thats the way it is.

Personally the Callaway XG hott saber-tooth is the best I have ever used

The best putter is the one that puts the ball in the hole most consistently for you, and you alone. For some its a Scotty Cameron, others a Bettinardi and for others still, its a cheap a** putter they found in the second hand shop.

I'm of the opinion that Scottys are not worth the money. If I was going to splash big bucks n aa putter it would probably be a Bettinardi.

Give the guy a break. If you didn't want to answer a "stupid" question, you shouldn't have posted. Putters are feel clubs. Up until I picked up my Rife 2bar hybrid, I had a $45 Dunlop LoCo putter. It was the best I had. Just go check some out. Try as many as you can. Its basically THE most important club in your bag. If you can't get the ball in the hole once you're on the dance floor, does it matter how quickly you get there? As far as Scottys. . .Never used one. Not even demo'd. Its probably a great custom balanced putter, but I think there are other choices out there that will do as good or better, depending on who's using it. I've cut at least 4 putts a round with my Rife. Best score improving club I have.

I will agree with just about everyone in this thread aside from Laxplayer. So go find what works for you man and don't worry so much about the name on it.
