I just got back from Hilton Head for a week and the weather kind of sucked. Every year I have gone the weather has been similar to here in Florida... not so lucky this year. Hope you had better luck.

I love Barefoot. I played there two years ago about 2 days after they had a LPGA tournament there. Great course, they maintain the entire course as well as the clubhouse really well. All in all great course and great people.

One thing I forgot to post, when we played Tigers Eye they hooked us up with 2 guys and on the 17th hole a 166yd par 3 the guy got a hole in one.Unfortunatly I do not drink and we had a following tee time at Leopards Chase or it would have cost him big time.

Did you like Tiger's Eye and Leopard's Chase? I though they were extremely nice for the price we payed. Had my best round to date at Myrle at Tiger's Eye too, so maybe that's why I liked it. lol

The Mrs and I play Tigers twice a year since it was opened.Leopards was nice but too pricey for the course in my opinion.Allthough they gave us a playback off of Tigers it was still 80.00 each which is what i payed for a playback at Caledonia and there is no way Leopards compares with Caledonia.

Yeah $80 is to pricey for Leopard's Chase. We just bought a three day package deal when we where there and total package was $170.00 for Lion's Paw, Tiger's Eye, and Leopard's Chase. So about $56 a piece which isn't too bad.

I've never played Caledonia. We always stay in North Myrtle and never drive down that far.

Caledonia in the spring {may} is the pretiest course in all of Mtrtle.Allthough the back tees are rated at 140 slope I think it is a little easier than that considering itis only like 6600 yards from the Pintail or back tees.

Just got back, played:

Possum Trot Lion's Paw Farmstead Crow Creek Panther's Run Tiger's Eye Leopard's Chase
Based on a sample size of one, Tiger's Eye is my pick of the group. If I had a chance to play them regularly I could see becoming fond of Lion's Paw and Leopard's Chase too. I thought the clubhouse at Crow Creek was really beautiful as well.

I agree Tigers is the nicest there.Liked farmstesd but not Meadowlands next door.Crow has been a favorite since it opened.Possum is allways in good shape but LONG rounds due to "older folk"Panthers is second best at ocean ridge.Did not think Leopards was anything special. We have not gotten over to Jaguars yet.

I like Tigers Eye and Leoprad's Chase a lot. TE is always in great shape. I think TE is a bit easier than LC. Here is a link to my photos from those courses.

    • I believe I have finally figured out the grip! And I can tell a difference when it’s not right. I’d like to thank Erik for all of his patience and my supporters @GolfLug & @boogielicious for being there in my low spots. Of course, my wife & kids for the hours spent watching me grip a club incorrectly, quietly mocking me but not out loud.
    • Shot an 89, 12.2 differential.
    • There's no such thing as the spirit of the rule. And, you do realize how insanely small the time window and the level of water is for water to come up with one person standing there but not another person, right? It's basically never going to actually happen like that. There are lots of rules like this: a 7' tall person's knee height drop is from higher up than a 4' tall junior's drop. Their driver is also longer, so they get a larger relief area. What are you gonna do? Beyond that, my reply to you is the same as @DaveP043's: write a better one. This one is easy to understand and enforce. The penalty for playing from a wrong place is two strokes, so no, it's not significant. In that sense, the potential advantage must be > 2 strokes. No, it's not "irrespective of it." That's why the penalty exists. If it's significant, it's a DQ, which is the ultimate penalty. See above. They don't need to judge that. No, he didn't. He could have taken one stroke to drop in the same place. This was already stated. Instead, he paid two. Of course they do.
    • Yes, a ball going faster will go farther… but it's nearly impossible for "all other parameters" to remain the same. "A ball going faster with the same of everything else will go farther" is pretty rudimentary stuff. The entire swing. The handle moves the whole time. The golf swing is a matter of both translational and rotational forces. And yet it's also kicked out a little, as it's not directly behind the motion of the hand path at that instant.
    • bought a used epic driver 3 years ago treated me well i am 72 bought with senior shaft a friend of bought a brand new  ping 440 claims he hits straighter and added 10 to 15 yards on his drive i know drivers are the most frequent club bought is a new driver that much better
