I was planning on reshafting a set of game improvement irons because they came with graphite shafts and I'm looking for some more consistent weight and maybe more controllable torque. I was looking at rifle 6.0 shafts since I loved their wedge shafts. would I gain more accuracy on this set by putting steel shafts in or do you think there is enough moi in a GI clubhead where the the shaft material wouldn't make a big enough improvement for the price. this set was only 200 bucks so would spending 100 bucks be worth it?

Graphite shafts are as good as any steel shaft as far as consistency goes. The main difference would be in the total weight of the club. If they feel to light for you or your swing tempo by all means put some steel in there.

Personally I prefer steel shafts in my irons b/c you loose a lot of feel with graphite shafts in irons, (they tend to deaden the feel). If that isn't a issue for you than its whatever feels best to you. Many older golfers like graphite b/c it absorbs the shock much more than steel, hence, loss of feel.
