hey all, i'm looking for an adjustable weight driver and all the r7's are still a bit expensive for my lowly budget. I'm considering the snake eyes viper 464 or tour driver, was wondering if anyone had any experience with them.

in my bag:

Driver: '08 Cobra F Speed LD 10.5 w/UST Proforce V2 Tour Flight stiff

Fairway: Adams Speedline Fast10 3-wood w/Aldila Wasabi stiff
Hybrid: Nickent 3dx 3H
Irons: Nike CCI forged 4-pw Wedges: Nike Victory Red 52 56 60 Putter: Rife Mr. Beasley Balls: Bridgestone B330-RX Tees: epoch

Do yourself a favor and purchase the Viper Tour. I have had it for about 7-8 months and it is an AWESOME driver!!!!!!!!! It looks, feels, and plays like a $400 driver. By far the BEST on the market. having the ability to adjust weight is another great feature. BUY IT

did you build the club yourself? what kind of shaft are you using? i know the one they have at golfsmith preassembled has a proforce xt shaft, which i don't think will suit my game. i'm not a club builder, but does anyone know what golfsmith charges to assemble a club if i buy components from them?

I built the club in myself in my basement using the XT shaft. The shaft is okay, but think I'll upgrade during the offseason. It isn't a bad shaft, but the tip is a little too soft. I'm thinking of the V2 75 because of the low torque and less twisting at impact. I have a Viper Tour hybrid and debating whether to use a low torque graphite shaft or continue using a steel shaft for the hybrid. The club is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't what they charge to assemble a club, but whatever it is, it is definitely worth it.

Good Luck

I also have the Viper Tour Black. I build drivers frequently just to test and it's the longest and most solid-feeling I've built in awhile. The adjustable weight ports really make it fun to use.

I have the ProForce XT shaft in X-flex. I like it very much. I like it better than the Aldila Vse 60 on my Snake Eyes Mamba 2. But clubs are a very unique-to-you thing, so you may not like what I do. I can only tell you that I am very happy with it. Jess
