hello all, i was at a golf simulator a couple days ago, goofing around. I endedup hitting the mp37 and mp33 irons and loved them. im looking around to hopefully get a set brand new, however mizuno stopped making the 33's a while back, and the 37's are no longer considered mizuno classics. so my question is can i get mizuno to make me a set of either? or do i have to search the internet for a new set. I dont want a used set.

I doubt you can get them brand new from Mizuno. It wouldn't hurt to give them a call though. You can find gently used MP-33's online for a good price.

I found a set of mp33 combo with mp30 in black oxide for $429 below:

I play the mp33 and I love them. I believe the mp37 have a lower ball flight. I would consider buying these clubs.

where did you guys find your mp 33'2 or 37's? also mizuno just took the mp 37's off there signature series on the website, so would calling them up help me at all?

I bought my on ebay about 2 years ago for about $250 plus shipping, but I have seen newer to brand new clubs selling for about $550. MP100 are mp33 anniversary edition.

I picked up a new set off of ebay a few months back and probably won't put it into play until my used set falls apart. They are fun clubs to hit, so I feel your pain in looking for a new set.

I was also looking for MP-33s about 3 months ago. I had a chance to play them and then had to have them due to the buttery feel. Couldn't find them new and I had a credit card points that would pay for MP-67s. Naturally, after much research I went with MP-67, which Mizuno told me is basically the same club with more forgiveness due to the cut muscle. I am learning to play them pretty well at the range; my off center shots are much less. Although I am just picking the game back up in about 20 years, my consistency suffers because I tend to be in the rough too much off the tee and struggle with difficult lies, but when I have a scoring shot to make, these things are like darts. I absolutely love these irons, so much so that I also have purchased their round Wedge 54* and 2 Mizuno hybrids17* and 20*, which I also am learning to hit very well. This week my new Mizuno Driver arrives. MP 33s are great clubs but the MP-67s are, too. Mizuno forged-iron clubs are addictive.

From what I've heard, Mizuno will make almost any iron in their history special order. There may be a wait but I think they will make a new set of MP-33's.

New MP-100s on ebay along with some other clubs

thanks but i would be too afraid to game those irons, i might lose them or some one could steal them. Also if im going to spend 1200+ on irons i would DEFINETLY go with miura.

While on the topic of mp37 I'm a high handicap golfer and I'm looking to improve from my set cavity backs which I'm decently consistent with. My buddy has a set of mp 37 5-pw with rifle precision shafts for 50$ is it worth buying blades being such a high handicap or jut waiting and by another nicer set of cavity backs?

For a high handicapper, probably not the best option. However, I'd be willing to take them off his hands.

    • I am currently playing a Cobra Ltdx LS 9 degree driver and Cobra Ltdx LS FW3. Both with Tensei White stock stiff shafts and original weights of 12g (heel) and 3g (toe). My miss is usually a pull fade or sometimes a slice, swing is out to in. Driver swing speed about 112 mph. Grips are stock regular. Intended change: Driver: Switching to Tensei White x-flex one inch shorter which I suppose would be 44,5? Changing heel weight to 18g. Changing grip to Golf Pride Z-grip cord midsize. Change hosel setting to standard draw. FW3: Changing heel weight to 16g (apparently not available in FW weights, but supposed to be something called "internal weight" a club builder can add which fits between the weight and the screw?). Change grip to Golf Pride Z-grip cord midsize. Changing hosel setting to standard +1. The goal is to 1) get better grip since I tend so lose grip in warm and moist conditions with the current grips and 2) mitigate the misses to start more straight with less side spin. Also considering adding the Cobra Ltdx LS FW5 instead of my old Taylormade R9 and getting 14g heel and 6g toe weights with the same grip as the others and hosel setting standard +1.   All of the above is based on conversations with ChatGPT and, as everyone knows, it can come up with pretty much whatever but I spent a few hours asking about different perspectives etc and this was the recommendation. So, my question is basically, does it make any sense?   Thanks.
