who here jumped up and cheered when annika's putt looked like it was gonna hole in and then stood in disbelief when it rimmed out halfway down the cup??

i was shocked....

i was impressed with brittany lang's performance too...

whoever said the LPGA is boring needs a swift kick in the nuts.

I thought the right person won. Annika had a couple of real lucky shots on 16 and 17 just to pull within a stroke. Stanford is just money in the bank from 10 feet and in. I was also happy to see another American with multi-wins on the LPGA this year, especially one not prone to throwing tantrums.

I would take her luck over MY luck any day. I mean, she Was #1 in the world for an eon. I was rooting for her, I was up on my feet on that last putt. . .I couldn't believe it. I like the Pink Panther, she's still a kid. . .She'll grow out of that silly crap she pulls, hopefully!

That was a spectacular shot out of the back bunker on 16 by Annika, and it made me sick to my stomach to see both her putt lip out, and brittany lang's second shot spin alllll the way back to the front of the green.

All I meant is she can't complain about the lip out on 18 when that bunker shot on 17 would have gone 20 feet past the hole if it didn't go in and the 40 foot put on 16, she would probably be lucky to make once in 10 tries.

Very exciting tournament, though, point taken. Hope the ADT is too - last year's was at the end. Gulbis almost came all the way back and Ochoa just hits a shot of the year on 18 to knock her out.

I understand what you're saying. . .I really was saying though that her version of "luck" is definitely better than mine! She had some tremendous shots for sure.

Would have been nice for Annika take it to a playoff and perhaps to win, but she played well toward the end and just didn't close the deal.

Too bad Lorena didn't play well.

Lorena seemed to be under a lot of emotional stress because she grew up on that course and the place was packed with her friends, family, and fans. She was feeling some strange pressure for sure. Especially since it was the inaugural event. She'll perform better in the coming years I'm sure.

She's such a "girl". Sergio was in much the same situation a few weeks ago... he won. It was cool to see him playing the par-3 where he got his first hole-in-one at age 11.

I love the LPGA, and Lorena's tournament was great theater------speaking of that, we all must learn to allow young people to grow up. I think the Pink Panther has learned her lesson and is still the #1 American out there, which is a good position to be in!! Did she act immaturely in losing her temper a few weeks ago? Sure. Have other golfers had to learn "anger management"? Sure. There are a few male golfers who continue to use the "F" word and show anger, and need to be suspended from play and not just fined. If we are going to hammer people for not acting as good role models, let us zero in on repeat offenders, and FORCE them to change their ways. We all know there are certain "guys" who keep doing it and it is shown on TV because they are Top Players. TIME TO TEACH THEM A LESSON.

The gals still have The Donald's tournament to wrap up the season. Is that not the event where Paula confronted Annika and disputed whether Annika's drive cleared the hazard a few years ago? That willingness to properly disagree with the World's #1 was a clear indication that Paula is feisty, and not willing to back down. She did NOT throw a tantrum then. She simply held her ground, and forced the LPGA officials on the scene to make a determination. Annika got her way, but Paula made a point, and a valid one.
