So I received a Callaway LR1200 as a very lavish client gift, but I'm already using a Bushnell Pinseeker 1500. Not sure if I need a replacement yet as the Pinseeker has served me well. Either one or the other will be sold. At the moment the specs on the LR1200 look mighty sweet.

Anyone owning a LR1200 mind giving a review?

A comparison between the two models...just perfect. Thanks firstcut!

You're most welcome. You can pay me back by cutting me a good deal on the one you decide to get rid of. Haha!

I have an LR1200, to be honest, I bought it because it was the most expensive and I could not find any consistencies in others reviews. The first unit i used was the Bushnell unit and it is great, would not have a problem purchasing one. The LR1200 certainly does not take 2-5 times to spot a target, this is definitely the user. I have no problem shooting a target from over 200m and in 5 goes, I will get the flag 4 times from this distance. I love the callaway, but with the exception of the cool case and the slightly smaller size, you really do not get anything for the extra dollars.

In saying that, to say the Bushnell unit is streets ahead is nonsense, I would be completely satisfied with either unit.

My 2 cents.....

Seems my Pinseeker will be saved and the LR1200 will go. PM me and we can work something out.

    • First going to spain for a long weekend in March probably going to play La Quinta, Los Arqueros and Fina Cortesin, and first week in May will compete in the Crawsnest Tassie at Carnoustie golf links, that will be a full week of golf golf golf and more golf. Did play it last year for the first time and it is awesome.

    • Day 47: simulator day! Played St. Andrew’s and shot a +1. Not bad, especially with having to putt at this simulator set up. Had about 5 minutes at the end to work on some feels as well.
    • I think you're saying it's preposterous to think that the areas on this club are anything like what's shown here: 30mm toward the toe or heel loses only 5% distance? Highly, highly doubtful. So a guy who hits the ball there and normally hits the ball about 250… will hit it instead about 238. By missing the sweet spot by about 1.2 inches? Highly, highly doubtful. Heck, the high heel barely gets into the red, and orange is only "up to" 10%! @M2R, I've never heard of "Ask Golf Nut" but I'm dubious of his claims in the video and really, really dubious of what's on his site: "Why AskGolfNut Is the Most Trusted Data-Driven Golf Resource". Hmmmmmm.
