I have 150 smackaroos, and i am wondering what to buy.... should i get a new fairway, or Sumo hybrid, or a 64* vokey?... i am a fairly long hitter, but i am also a very good player from 100 yds and in...
maybe some new shoes...

I'm thinkin a 64* Vokey and a 2004 Callaway Big Bertha fairway wood - used. Those are still awesome fairway woods and the price is really cheap now.

As a good player I bet you wear out wedges quickly, so a new wedge (or 2) would seem like the best option since they lose at least some of their bite pretty quickly. But admittedly, buying a new wedge is just never as exciting as a wood or hybrid.

2) i send mine in to get refinished
3)I already looked into it, and im gettin a 64 vokey and a BB 3 Wood...(used wood, new vokey adds up to about 160... im willin to pay $10 out of my own money

Golf psychology lesson/clinic.

I spent 100 EUR on one and the results so far have been amazing. Better than any club could have done.

If I had 150 now, i'd spend it on a new bag or shoes.

from your signature i would think your best bet would be to get a hybrid. but i know how it is when u have money burning a hole in your pocket. when that happens to me i usually end up buying something i dont really need, but have wanted for a long time

For $150 and based on your signature, i would recommend getting the ping g10 hybrid. i think its about $150 at all the major retail stores and since you're getting a ping, you know you're not going to see discounts.

why the g10 hybrid out of all the other ones offered?? i love ping as much as everybody.. but what makes this specific one stand apart from the rest? just a question....

why the g10 hybrid out of all the other ones offered??

Honestly I had a 21* g10 and sold it after maybe 15 rounds. Its brilliant when you strike it well, but isnt nearly as forgiving as some of the other hybrids. Granted I think I would like it now better, as 6 months later Im a more consistent striker. But I bought my new TM Rescue Burners and love them. My thought is just that people buy hybrids to be forgiving, and the G10 wasnt all that forgiving.

Clubs I havent thrown in a lake yet

      It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…

      I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
