Hi all.

I am pretty new to golf and would like to start some golf lessons. I have been involved in sports my whole life and am fairly athletic, although some of my other sports lead to bad golf habits.

Right now I would like to work on my golf swing, but would also be interested in spending a lesson or half a lesson here or there working on putting, chipping and pitching.

Would anyone in Los Angeles be willing to recommend their teaching pro? If not, how do I go about finding a pro? I know they are in all the pro shops and driving ranges, but how do I determine if they are any good or right for me? I live in Hollywood and work in Torrance. I'm looking for something once a month or maybe once every two weeks.

Thanks.

Hi all.

When I started with golf, I was working in Torrance and living in Westwood. I stopped by The Lakes at El Segundo after work many days and went to the range and took a few lessons from a pro there. I still go back and visit said pro for a lesson now and then. He took me from someone who couldn't find the ball with anything to someone who can break 90 with some regularity. I'll PM you his information.
