i heard from someone that the original nike tour driver that Tiger uses was a special tour version... did they ever release it to the public?

Golf companies almost never release tour special equiptment to the public. Almost every tour player has a custom made set sometimes with modified equiptment. But as for Tiger's thats probably the case just like he probably wont play the exact same VR irons that were released to the public.

I can almost be sure his will be miura forged. but as for the Nike sasquatch tour driver, they released that there are a few on ebay, like this one

according to Tigers manager last year, Tigers irons are forged at the same foundry that forges all of Nikes irons. they are just tweaked elsewhere

you're not saying Tiger plays that driver are you... the loft was 10.5?

Can you please stop saying tiger plays miura irons without having any proof of this. tiger woods plays nike and only nike irons, not miura, mizzy or titleist irons with nike stamp, they are nike forged blades. i know this because thats what tiger says he plays, you find better information than that then you can continue to tell people what you think he plays. thanks

exactly. i know someone who played in the "Tee It Up With Tiger" promotion last year (not this year) and he point blank asked Tigers manager who forges Tigers irons. his answer was "Tigers irons are forged at the same foundry that forges ALL of Nikes irons"... Now I dont know who that is, but I know its not Miura...

thank you for correcting the loft of the driver...i hate it when people say things that aren't true. As fro the irons, they are MIURA forged, and have been ever since he switched over to titleist irons back in the 90's. Believe me, you cannot trust other people that will say things just so that they can make more money, or will sell more clubs.

You can say what you want, but I have it from a VERY reliable source ie: a Muira rep. that they send Tiger about 20 sets of Muira forged blades a year and they are then stamped NIKE. You can BET NIKE don't want that to get out.

you guys are missing the point please provide proof that miuri makes tigers irons. saying you know a rep doesnt mean anything if hes a sales rep ans its suppose to be a secret then he wouldnt know cause they wouldnt give info like that to a sales rep. without proof all you guys are doing is starting rumors. please have proof before making claims. tiger and his management say his irons are made by nike thats enough proof for me.

exactly, which is why he says they are nike forged. Where in fact, tiger has been playing miura forged blades ever since he switched over to titleist in the mid 90's. Tiger gets payed millions of dollars from nike, do you honestly think he wont do something they say that would get nike very mad? And also, of course a nike sales rep is going to tell you that he plays nike forged, half of those idiots dont even know aht they are talking about... and the other half are just trying to make some cash by telling white lies.

      It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…

      I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
