Just wondering if anyone else is from Michigan? What city do you live in? Home course?

I am FROM Michigan, but moved down here last May... I am FROM Oxford... and my "home" courses were Oxford Hills, Bald Mountain, Copper Hills, Devil's Ridge, Oakland Univ. Courses, and Blackheath... at least those were the ones I always played several rounds per year at... but I have played damn near everything in Metro-Detroit and many others in SE MI and up North.

No, I don't think I've played any courses in that area, just pretty much all the ones by me and the really notable ones up north, and several in the Oxford area.

I see. I wanted to take my gf or sister up north for a weekend or so in the summer. Which course up there would be somewhat cheap but a nice course to play at?

Honestly, courses don't get much better than the ones in Northern Michigan you might want to consider shelling out some cash if you want the full experience. There are some nice courses that don't cost an arm and a leg though. I played Little Traverse Bay over the summer, and it was a really scenic course. It had a lot of beautiful views, but the greens weren't spectacular.

If you want to spend some money, though, Black Lake and any of the Boyne Courses are extremely nice.

I have played Huron Meadows (OK course). If you're in that are play Eagle Crest and Lake Forest in the Ann Arbor area, and try the Jackal and Huntmore (very tough, but fun) in the Brighton area.

Hunters Ridge in Howell and Timber Trace in Pinckney are two of my favorites in Livingston County. Good tracks, decent prices, and usually not too busy.

I'm from jackson, we have some pretty good golf here 28 courses to choose from in the county The Grande,Calderone Farms, and Pierce Lake are my favorites Pierce Lake is a must play it's in Chelsea about 20-25 min from Ann Arbor It's a public paark course but you will never find a better course for a better price any where $20 for twilight, and $40-$45 regular summer rates you would expect to pay anywhere from $60-$85 maybe more once you get on the course, just call (734)475-5858 uuhhh in a couple of months that is lol.
