My girl is away on holiday for a few days with her family and she just called and said there is a shop next to her hotel selling these for £70.

I've never seen them in the flesh before but I have heard a lot of good things.

I'm in the market for a 21 degree hyrbrid and had whittled it down to a Titleist 909, a Titleist 585 or a Callaway FT, all are priced a lot more than this baffler.

Should I tell her to buy.

I bought the Baffler and the guys at the store said it was a good club, and I hit it well inside where the simulator is.....When I got it out on the course I ended up with a sickness called the "shanks." Everyone always says, "Hybrids are so easy to hit!! You must have one." Hybrids just arent for me, I'll stick to a 5-wood.

I'm a fan of the Cobra. Its high, soft and workable. The extra long hosel allows for adusting the lie angle, which I need in my clubs. Good profile from the top and works pretty smooth from the rough or the tight fairway. Haven't hit the 909 but did hit the 907 and found the Baffler a little more appealing. I think you would like it.

the baffler is a ridiculous club out of the rough. it is simply amazing from the rough, even thick rough a few inches tall it gets the ball out without a problem. from the fairway or the tee it is god awful. all i did was hook it the one round i had it in my bag, my current hybrid is starting to do the same to me after about a year of playing with it. hybrids really just don't suit my swing/club needs any longer.

Make sure its the "2008 Baffler Pro"! I have the 2008 version in 2/R 18º and I freakin love this club! I hit it about 240+ on carry. I tried almost every new hybrid out there (I.E.: Titleist, TaylorMade, Callaway, Nickent, Nike, etc.) and found it to suite me best. Just be sure its not the DWS nor the old 2007 version.

Its called the Baffler for a reason. LOL I have a buddy that has one and he fought that club all last season. It truely has him Baffled. And he is a good ball striker so I know its not him.

    • Always been a fan of Rose. He seems like a decent human being first of all. When there's some chatter at the tee he says "Quiet guys, please. Thank you" in a friendly tone. He's always given the impression of being a stand-up guy, supportive of his colleagues and competitors. A friendly face. His performance as a golfer is more about consistency through his entire career than the large number of wins. He's always around, but had the potential to win more. This Masters they made a point out of him having almost twice as many lead/co-lead rounds without a win than the next guy on the list. 11 wins on the PGA Tour, 11 on the European Tour and the single major, but a lot of top ten finishes. Erik's comparison to Adam Scott is on point, as the stats demonstrates in the images below. Starting their careers during the reign of Tiger didn't make things easier, but there are few players with more than 15 wins on the PGAT the last ~30 years. I only counted eight from this list. I'd love to see him win at Augusta. Rory is one of very few players I'd pick over Rose.
    • I didn't know until this past week that Rose holds the record for the most times having the lead after day one of The Masters.  He must really love those Day 1 pin placements.
    • I think Rose is great. Much respect to his consistency, professionalism, work off-course and a never give-up attitude. But I have mixed feelings about his Masters campaign. Afterall, the dude came within a putt of ruining the perfect ending to probably the greatest unfinished story in golf. 😱
