15* 3 wood or 16* hybrid

Which shall I use? I hit the 3 wood 10-15 yards further with a higher ball flight than the hybrid but I can't use a 3 wood out of rough like I can a hybrid. Do I go for the extra distance of the wood or the versatility of the hybrid?

Always go with the club you have the most confidence in. Distance is not all there is. I would much rather be hitting third shot from fairway that 15 yards further into woods. I use my 17* hybrid a lot out of this situation.

I never hit my 3 wood off the deck when I'm playing, but I hit my 2H all the time -- probably the club I use the most.
