I guess what I am trying to accomplish is to get a lower, more penetrating trajectory.....

I picked up a Cobra Speed LD F (9.5) loft, Regular over the holiday and was thinking of changing the shaft to an Aldila NV 75 (Reg) shaft.

This has more of a high kick - will this help with lower drives?

What about the loft, will it work ok with the different specs?

High kick shafts are designed to aid in lower ball flight. Try a ProLaunch Red.

I don't know all the specs on the F speed shaft. But I'd imagine a 75 gram NV would have less torque, and should spin the ball less, leading to a lower launch. This shaft is designed to be a high kick low launch shaft I believe. You can look up the specs on the Aldila website. Sounds like you are on the right track for lowering your trajectory.

try any aldila high kick shafts or matrix high kick shafts and you should be on your way to lower ball flight
