It says you can change the loft, lie, face angle, weight, all for up to 75 yds difference in results.
sounds like some BS to me.
it looks like BS too. uglies thing i have ever seen, even uglier than the FT-iQ

Wow... TM come's out with something that is pretty simple looking, in my opinion, and without even hitting it, people call it ugly. They also call the adjustability BS right off the bat. Without ever seeing the frickin club in person.

Can you at least hold the club, and hit it, before you make any conclusions?

P.S. Am I the only one who thinks the iQ looks pretty good?

I took a look at an iQ driver in our proshop...he's got one in there for demo purposes. Gonna try it out next round or two as time permits. I find that function over form is my rule. The G10 series is fairly conventional looking with the fairways (except for the wild shaft colors of mine) but the huge heads on todays drivers are insane looking. I don't mind, though because the benefits are trememdous.

Taylor Made is constantly revamping their line up....it will be interesting to see and try out this club. Until then I have no opinion on it other than I think the concept is very cool.

ok, let me rephrase my original post. Considering everything, the clubs in my bag aare all very traditional, and that thing looks like a stealth fighter, with all the weird angles and what not. I guess the concept is cool, but it sounds almost a little too good to be true, and i own a r7 limited, it does have a lot of side to side variablity. The ft-iQ is a good concept, but i also just really, really hated square clubs (just my opinion) so dont get mad at me for not liking it. I understand that in the golf world, it should really come down to form over function, and if you want your own tour van to carry around in your bag, then, by all means, go for it. I think that i have always been taught to play and adjust to the course you are playing. I just never really thought of it as changing the settings in your driver. I am really sorry if i affended you, Baraethon.

Im a big fan of Taylormade but I'm so far not to interested in this club just to much stuff to mess with I finally got my drive worked out where I can either just pound the hell out of it straight and shape the ball a bit from left to right when needed still cant get the draw down but ill get there. I really think it will help some people a great deal just like the draw driver that helped a buddy of mine to keep it in play a great deal but just not for me. I am still waiting to get my hands on a tour burner!! That will be a GOOD day!

ya im not a big fan of the r9 driver. it looks like something... well i dont know, it just doesnt look natural. so crazy and "edgy" and weird. i like the reference to a stealth fighter =) thats just my opinion, but i wont be picking it up.

i do, however, really like the new 09 burner irons. ( http://www.golfsmith.com/ps/products/TM1560 ) i think they look really nice. im looking forward to tring them out.

    • I signed up with Evolvr again on April 16th to try and get me straightened out. So far, so good.  We basically just started over at the basics (which had gotten off, to no surprise). The first issue was my setup was too far into the heels and I needed to bend over more to get the arms in a better position. I also made some grip changes as the club was more into the palm than I felt like it was.  We then moved from there to getting correct pelvis movement. I "thought" I had a pretty good turn but video shows that I was actually moving toward the ball immediately from the start of the takeaway. I have been working on starting the take away with a more lateral move away from the target and getting the hips moving at a 45* angle across my foot instead of just spinning out immediately. A good thought is that I continue to move them laterally the entire time which gets my butt back as I turn as well.  I am also focusing on turning into my right leg more instead of allowing the right let to turn which allows my hip to turn too far. And one last thing is that I need to allow the club to continue at the top instead of it laying off so much.   Several different things that I have worked on in stages, but does feel so much better.  The main things at this moment are making the moves more fluid (I am currently still thinking them through as I am swinging) and getting the new feels of each position. I am extremely happy with the progress so far. I am going to add my videos here as well to get my swing thread going again and for the swing notes.  The 5/6/25 videos were my last submission so I have not started working on turning into the right leg here Oh and @iacas, I did move my net over 🤣. I have NO CLUE why that had never crossed my mind....But I do have a left handed player that moves it around as well. My initial swing videos
    • I use different clubs with different swing lengths. Especially at those distances.
    • Day 220 - 2025-05-08 Had a rescheduled lesson on a work day otherwise, so got some practice in while listening to my Alison playlist a bit too loudly. 😉
    • Decent practice round today to get ready for final tournament of the season this weekend.  4 over front 9 and 7 over back 9 with only pars and bogeys
    • Go ahead and remove me from the list for now, seems like there's enough interest from others I don't want to hold up a spot from someone who is ready to commit now. If things work out job wise in the next month and there's still space I'll join back in but we'll see.
