Titleist ZM irons

I got a set of Titleist ZM forged blades a while back. They also have the ZB forged blended set where the lower irons are cavity, mid are like a cavity/blade mix and the low irons, 8,9,W are exactly like the ZM blades. On the back there is a ZM forged stamp on the blades and a ZB forged stamp on the blended set...the 8 iron in my set has the ZB forged stamp, wonder how this happened, did it happen at Titleist or TGW? the 8 irons in both sets are exactly the same except for the stamp so theres no performance issue but I just thought it was odd to buy a 900 dollar set of golf clubs and have one of the clubs be the wrong one.

that definetly is weird, but the zb iron is exactly the same as the zm 8 iron, so nothing to worry about.

Unless the ZM just bothers you it should have no effect.

I love them, love how you can work the ball with them as compared to my 704's I had before. I can't compare them to the AP2's as I have never hit them. Thats the only con I have to being left handed, golf stores have a small fraction of left handed stuff which stinks. If one of your buddys has something you want to hit youre out of luck too... Funny thing is, I do everything right handed except swing a golf club or baseball bat...

I called TGW about the clubs, they said they couldnt be sure what clubs Titleist intended to be in the ZM set so they couldnt do anything which I thought was crap. They told me to call Titleist about it. I am just gonna keep the ZB 8 iron its the same as the ZM anyway besides the stamp, I think if I tried to get it switched it would just be a headache.

From what I have been told, the ZB and ZM are the exact same from 8-W. Check the serial number on the hozel and see if they all match up. If they do, I wouldn't worry about it. However, if they don't match someone may have screwed up and put it in the wrong set. The only problem would be if it is from a different set the loft/lie angle/length may be 'off' from the other clubs. That may be worth looking into.
