Hopefully he can stay hot and get a victory at Augusta. I just hope that he hasn't peaked too early since it is so hard to stay this hot for consecutive weeks. Anyway, he is already having a great year and I expect him to win at least 1 more time this season. If he can't get a victory at Augusta, maybe he can get one in the Open Championship (British Open).

One and done. C'mon, guy wins for the first time in, what, eight years, and we're suddenly thinking everything will align and he'll win again? Imagine the pre-Tiger world: a guy winning more than once a year shot him to the top of the "Player of the Year" list. Ernie's struggled way too much as of late. Good for him it came together one weekend, but again? And at a major? Highly, highly doubt it.

Care to revise that comment? Two and done perhaps? I see good things for Ernie this year, he's improved his short game since his surgery it would seem.

No, not a bit. Just because it didn't turn out to be true, doesn't mean it wasn't the right call. Ernie's lacked killer instinct his whole career. If his game isn't dead "on," he doesn't contend. It's like Phil, you never know when they guy will just be completely off, despite runs where he seems effortlessly on. Ernie's in a good stretch, feeling great, but I say it can be derailed as quickly, and inexplicably, as it came. These guys, and others, all lack what Tiger has, which is the ability to grind your game into contention, no matter what. Without that, I just don't think any other player truly has the ability to compel people to believe they'll win multiple times per year. For Ernie to win two tourneys and a major would be ridiculous odds; fine if someone wants to call it and say, "hey, if I'm wrong, no matter, but if I'm right, I'll be considered a genius," but I'm a realist at heart. The best of the best are in the majors fields, and plenty of other guys can have their "on" weekend there, and if Ernie is even a little off, Augusta will spit him out.

Nothing in the swing is done at the expense of balance.

    • We just completed our winter league (Jan 1 - April 30)  Our scoring was simple.  We used the 18 birdies app.  You get 1 point for every member of the league you beat head to head in an 18 hole round (no handicap).  You also get a point for completing the round.  Therefore 4 members play a round- winner of the round gets 4 points, runner-up gets 3, third gets 2, and last gets 1.  Points accumulate throughout the season.  You can play as many times as you want. Our winner accumulated 110 points while second was 102 and third was 97.  We had a total of 16 members in the league.  No issues whatsoever.  All about fun.
    • I had the D-9's a while back, thought the stock Wilson grips were rubbish.  I put Pure grips on them. Pure is now out of business but available on Golfworks.  Currently some colors in stock as of today. PURE Wrap Golf Grips - The GolfWorks PURE Golf's tackiest grip, the Wrap features a perforated wrap design and is ideal for golfers that prefer a slightly softer, more muted feel at impact.
    • If he had to hit over the bunker, I'm guessing he was further from the hole, although "in front of" implies the opposite.  If that's right, that may have been the right spot for penalty relief, a single PS.
    • Day 52. Trying to work on hard pan lie pitching in the rain in the yard.
