Anybody know a good way to polish Patent leather shoes?

I ordered a Chicken and an Egg on the Internet, to find out which came first... I'll keep you posted!

Sorry, but you really don't. The finish is plastic, so any scuffs are there to stay. You can clean them with a damp cloth and put a little pledge on them, but you really can't polish them.

FWIW......I used to wear them for dress in the military and pretty quickly gave up. I eventually just bought a good pair of dress shoes that I keep highly polished and solely for formal dress. With a little time and effort, you can shine a pair of shoes to look as good as the patent leather....and scuffs are easily cleaned up.

First of all, thank you for your Military Service.
My girlfriend has 7 more years out of twenty in the Naval Reserve, and unfortunatly I messed up my thumb bad in January so Golf may probably be out this year. We signed up for formal dancing classes to pass the time of spring, and my patent leathers are the only pair I own that will "make me like Fred Astair". Just want to shine them up a bit, I will take your advice.
