983k to 905r

Would upgrading from the Titleist 983k to the 905r be much of an upgrade?

my friend upgrades from the 983K to the 905R and he is about the same distance but his mishits are better because of the forgiveness off the 905R.

I went form the 983K to the Taylor Made TP R5 and notice a big difference in distance and forgiveness. Have you considered the Tour Burners from Taylor Made?

I have a 975J, and I hit a 905R with the same loft and a shaft with very similar characteristics. I noticed no difference in distance, but but I'm sure the more off-center mishits would be improved given the increase in size of the head. It would probably even be less noticeable coming from a 983.

There is a little bit of difference. The 905r is a little more forgiving. Their so cheap now anyway (you could probably get a brand new one for under 175 bucks) it wouldnt hurt to dump the 983.
