I have a 3 wood that came with my set but it has a dent in the bottom and the paint is all scratched and i am looking to replace it. If i take this club to a fitter of another companies clubs will they just put the clubhead i want on it? Will it still be the price of the whole club or will it be cheaper?

I would say that it would be cheaper, depending on what shaft you have. If it is a very nice shaft, than by all means keep it and replace the head. But watch out for labor costs, it may cost more than buying another one.

I doubt golf shops sell just clubheads unless they are component clubs (Snake Eyes, KZG, etc) You'll probably have to buy the whole club, and then replace the shaft with the one you have now.
