I think it depends a lot on what kind of golf bag you have and how the covers seat into the top of the bag. What I mean is, I currently have one of those O.C.D. bags with the little individual club partitions, and a couple of my hybrid iron covers get all scrunched up against the top of the bag and look crummy. Also, the driver has one of those long knit sock-feet on it to cover the shaft, but it won't go through the top of the bag and winds up looking like a ballet dancer's leg warmer.

Now, none of that would probably matter a whole lot to someone who wasn't clinically insane, yet curiously I find it a bit ... troubling ...

I guess what I'm saying is, I'd prefer my head covers a little on the shorter side, so that they'd fit the bag better.

I am looking for opinions on Head Covers.

While protecting clubs they are really a personal preference. I don't get to caught up in the length of the cover, just as long as it does its job of protecting the clubhead and the lower section of the shaft.

Unless I really hate the OEM cover, I usually won't get an aftermarket one and if I do I like Rocket Tour headcovers

I always tell people to toss the headcovers that came from the club manufacturer because its like putting a sign on your bag that says "Hey nice club here, STEAL ME!" The type of cover desn't matter as long as it protects the head. Most long covers aren't needed anymore as bags these days come with graphite shaft protection already on them.
