Anybody playing in SE Michigan tomorrow 3/14?

I was thinking about it but my course is closed. I know Fox Hills (Classic) is open and I may try and play a few holes. If anybody is interested in joining me post up and maybe we can get something scheduled.

Now, if only I could find some poeple to play with in the Charlotte area... besides my brother-in-law who doesn't like to gamble.

I'm pretty sure the course is closed to carts (plus I like to walk anyway). It is going to be cold in the a.m. so I was thinking sometime after 12:00. My son turned 11 in January and my daughter turned 6 last weekend, they are not babies anymore but I can relate about the newborn! I'll post up later today about the time after I talk to my wife.

It's not that I want to play for big money... I just NEED competition, I am an extremely competitve person. I really miss playing with a buddy of mine who was pretty much a perfect match for me... we scored similarly and were pretty close in length... so it made for some exciting matches... my brother-in-law on the other hand couldn't break 90 to save his life, but we're working on that.

chriskzoo - I've never played St. Johns but have been to Carl's many times. I got some kind of discount from the golf show for there.

I'm game for either. I've played Fox Hills many times but never St. Johns. I like Fox b\c they let you walk. But either would be fine. 1:00 sounds perfect.

St. Johns' was still under frost delay at 11:15 when we got there, so we popped over the Northville Hills - $45 all you can play - I had to leave after 18 but my buddy got in 36. Opened the year with an 84 - I'll take it. Actually, the first few holes were working the winter kinks out, but I was pleased overall and was not too far off of mid-season form by the time I got to 13 or so.

Chris and I teed off at 1:00pm and it was $18 to walk 18. The ground was very wet and the greens were slow as hell. Still the weather was great and it was good to get out. A lot of rust to shake off though. Not to mention I feel a bit out of shape after walking 18. Hurry up bourbon and kick in.

Sorry I did not make it. Repairs took until almost 2:00. Hopefully another time. I would like to play St. John as I have not played it yet.
