What do you guys think about it? I am in ned of a new driver, and i really like how this looks, and am reading very good reviews about it. For those of you who have hit it, whats your opinion? I have only got to hit it indoors, so i don't know about its ballflight, spinrate, launch angle, etc.

I like the XCG alot... but I think the XCG-V has a better feel to it. I have both but I have the XCG shafted for windy conditions so I play the V more. When I take them both to the range... they have very similar feel but the V has more of a solid feel.

The rumor was the XCG had an internal weighting issue that put the club more to a fade bias. Whether it is true or not I dont know... it hasnt affected my ball flight at all. Both are very solid clubs... I havent hit anything that I would consider replacing my driver with.

Is one longer than the other? I hear that the new one is longer...but i dont believe it.

I hit the XCG 10.5* with a DVS stiff flex (my friend owns it). Honestly, I was very disappointed. The club didn't feel nice like the fairway woods or hybrids. It felt very dead. I thought it also had a small sweet spot. Basically, the forgiveness was not where I like it, but it may be good for you. I found it pretty workable. Even on dead center hits, it was shorter than my SuperQuad. Overall, I don't think the DVS is for me, so that could cause the lackluster results. I would say 'get fitted' but Exotics doesn't offer many stock shafts...and their warranty is voided if you put a different one in (unless you send it back to them).

i agree that it is a little dead. I hit it today, and wasn't impressed. Im getting fit for a 909 tomorrow, so we'll see what happens.
