I have a Tour Collection putter to which I added about 3 strips of lead tape.

I love the weight and feel, and would like to know or approximate the head mass before buying my new putter (Ping B60) to know the difference in grams between the putter heads.

Any way to do this? I don't know the initial mass without the lead tape so don't ask.

I am trying to do this at home with basic elements, no swingweight or anything.

TIA

There isnt really a simple way unless you take the shaft out and weigh it.

If you know the density of the lead tape and the putter head you could work out the mass using water displacement to calculate the volume.

Anyway not much chance of that :)

Unless you could find values for the shaft and grip independently.......perhaps from the manufacturers.....then weigh the entire putter and back them out.
