How Expensive is it to re-shaft a hybrid????/

Hi all, I have an opportuinity to get a pretty good price on a new Cobra DWS hybrid, but is stiff, which does not fit me. I was wondering how much would it cost to take it say to Golf galaxy or golfsmith to change the shaft???

Depends on if you are going steel or graphite. I reshafted steel hybrid a few yrs back, and it was about $40 for a plain old steel shaft and a new grip and labor at Golf Galaxy.
A grafite shaft could set you back a lot more depending how fancy you want to go.

it really also depends on the type of shaft that you want to put in. I ADORE graphite design shafts in my hybrid. I've gone thru 2 of them to get my desired ball flight.

can I ask why you're going to reshaft? like what do you want out of the club at the end of the day? how do you hit your long clubs now? high? too high? medium launch? on a regular full swing.

then you can decide what kind of shaft to put in after you try out the shaft that's inside the club now.

a new steel shaft retails for about $5-12 depending on what you get. The grip will be about $3-14 depending on what you get so most of the cost is in labor. Graphite shaft will be a bit more expensive but not a ton.

I was trying to bid on a new Cobra DWS 1/R, but it was stiff. It ended up selling for $61 on ebay. It was going for 35 when i setup the post..

you can get a tour edge exotics on ebay for $80. the cb2. most sellers will let you choose the shaft if they're golf shops.... for cobra.. i hear nothing but great things about the baffler. but i'm a tour edge guy

Bafflers are riddiculously esy to hit....I was blown away. I'm not that consitent with my 3h, but with the Cobras I was hitting, as if it were an extension of my arm. the word "Butter" comes to mind!
