So, I use the Scorecard software touted on this site, which by the way is spectacular.

Anyway, today I played 18 holes at a 9 hole course. The course rating is 43 and the slope 113. In order to enter this course as an 18 hole course, I've heard that you're supposed to add the ratings and average the slopes. That means that this super-easy 9 holer would be considered to have an 86 course rating!

That just doesn't seem right because say you shot a 92 (par is 68), that would mean your course handicap is a 6.0. I find that hard to believe.

Any insight? Maybe the 9 hole course rating for this course is just goofy.

Thanks.

Thanks. And 2.0 will support nine-hole rounds and nine-hole courses in the future.

That's right... so are you sure you read that right? Maybe you had a lysdexic moment and it's 34? It should have a decimal, too: 34.0 or 34.1 or something...

I have a hard time believing it's actually rated at 43. Something's wrong there...

Perhaps. Was it done by your local or state golf association, or did the owner just make something up? If it was legitimately 43 I dare say it'd be the toughest 9 holes anywhere in the world.

Awesome, can't wait for it to come out.

Well, the course doesn't have a website. I got it from some Indiana golf website. I'm guessing you're right and it was a typo and should be 34. Yeah, as easy as this course is, there's no way it's a 43.

You should know, I'm so good I only play the best courses in the world.
