Has anyone seen the new Bang Golf 44 gram driver shaft. Was hanging out with my club guy and he built the Speedline with a 46" Bang Golf 44 gram Shaft in it. I immediately ordered the 8.5 speedline and am having him put a 44 gram X stiff in it. He said it would be the longest club imaginable.

Any Thoughts??

I know I have always liked a light shaft (I used a 55 gram for several years). The lighter shaft just makes me feel like I can really get through the ball faster. Considering the Speedline 'claims' to increase swingspeed because of the head design and add a longer, lighter shaft to that it's quite possible the club could be very long. My only concern with that mixture of lightweight and longer shaft would be control.

Please post a video of the swing when you're done... I really like seeing people smash long drive clubs and just rip it..especially with a 46" shaft. That'll bring you what? A 48" driver? 49?
Mine's at like 46.5 total now..and that's loooong.

47.5 INCHES. It should be long but my worry is on control as well

I'd be very worried about control! 44g?? 47.5"??? That's crazy golf. I think I'd rather my ~75g at ~45", be a bit shorter and in play. Not sure I see the advantage of 350 yards long but 150 into the undergrowth.....

Let us know how you get on.

I'd be

Changed my mind up a little. The tour rep for Adams said there is a Speedline Tour head that he could get me in a 6.5, or 7.5 with a good Matrix shaft. I'm gonna try to keep it around 45.5, 46. Distance is DEFINITELY not a problem I would just like a solid club that I can feel good over the ball with. I'm also before ordering going to Golfsmith in San Fran next week and hit a lot of different heads to make sure I am not making any "shotgun" decisions.
