I am in the market for a new 3w, thinking 15degree. My question to anyone out there who has hit one, Can i just order it with the stock motore shaft? is it good ? also what ss would you say the stiff and xstiff are taylored to. I hear tm shafts are known to be lower on the flex scale then others.

well, i havent hit it (sorry), but i play with a guy who has one (3 wood) and he says its the best 3 wood hes ever hit (he is a 2 handicapper). he has a mid 90's SS and uses the stock S flex

Mate I have the 15* 3 wood with the stock shaft, and it hits bombs. i can hit it pretty much on the toe, and it still gets out there. In Australia, they don't tend to offer custom shaft options, other than like the titleist fitting cart. Even though this shaft worked pretty well for me i'd say(like any shaft) for others it wouldn't.

What's your ss ? Mines around 110-115 with a driver average should I go stiff or xstiff

hard to say.
I have about 100mph with driver and use stiff so maybe x-stiff? Try it out and see for yourself

my coach told me that you should use the whippiest shaft that you

can handle , and dont buy S or XS based on swingspeed alone. i know a guy who has your average 100 mph ss with his driver, yet he uses a senior flex 3 wood because he can absolutely hammer it. but the most important thing is, he can control it also
