Why does your signature say you hit a Titleist ball then?

I'm in a transition and if i could afford it, i would play the callaway tour-ix. I'm switching to the diablo right now but trying as many balls as possible. Right now I've been playing mojo's and bridgestone e5+ but i just haven't changed my sig.

As far as the blind test goes, they may not have let the golfers touch the ball. They may have looked at the number, dropped it on the ground and said swing. Theres a lot of factors that come into play, but once again its just ratings, go by your own.

I am still trying to figure out which ball to use this seaosn. Ive been using NXT tours for the last 2 seasons. My main complaint with the pro v's has been the durabillity (and price, of course) of the balls. I do get better performace around the greens with a pro v than any other ball ive tried. I tried out a sleeve of the 09 pro v1's over the weekend. the ball performed like it ususally does for me. Short off of the driver, longer off of the irons, easy to control 40 yards and in. But what i was most impressed with was that i actually got through an entire round with one ball. No peeling, flatspotting, or tears on the ball. Matter of fact, i could probably play it another 18 if i wanted.

That might be enough for me to switch to the prov1 this year, but i still have yet to try prov1x the bridgestone b330 lines for this year. I am also going to try and play a round with TF gamers.

Damand for the balls Im pretty shure means how many they have to manufacture- the higher demand for the ball means the more they produce, the more they sell. I still like Noodle Ice, nothing like seeing a peach colored ball being wacked onto the green!

DavidFeherty...Might want to try Srixon Z-stars or TM TP Black/Reds...cheaper and hit just as nice as a calloway or titleist, or you can't go wrong with just about any of the B330 balls bridgestone has out

Golf Digest's Hot List's are based entirely on ad dollars! I have seen them return products entered for the hot list entry from companies that do not advertise in their magazine completely unhit so their ratings are rubbish!

So the Noodle is actually a way better ball than the ProV1/V1x? It's only because they're Titleist brand and advertise so much that the pros play them?

I believe the everyone feels that the other balls on the market are better than the pro v's are because of the price difference. If pro v's were the same price as the nxt tours or the bridgestone e+ series, then more people would like them. I personally like the pro v's because I get them for $27 a case brand new.

Saying that pros only play a particular ball or use a particular piece of equipment because they get paid to do so is slightly ignorant.

I'd take the purse/trophies/recognition of winning tournaments ANY day over money received from endorcements. Therefore, I'd be playing the best equipment that works for my game. It just so happens, ProV1/V1x seems to be the best ball for the majority of Tour players. Think about it...

The point is that the "Demand" criteria the >$40 level pretty much prevented any other ball to achieve a gold ranking. Take the Srixon Z-Star/Z-StarX; it received 5 stars in every otehr category except for the "Demand" portion. I don'tknow abotu you, but if a ball performs I could car less who else uses it.
