I am a lefty golfer and lately i have been hitting the ball straight left off the club. It goes just as high and as far but the ball goes off to the left. I didn't know if i was going to outside to a swing inside and slicing it? Can people give me drills or help and tell me whats wrong. I normally hit a nice draw and icant figure it out.
Thanks

Could be any number of things, but my guess is your release or lack thereof. A good drill is to swing your club like a baseball bat....your hands are forced to release, then take a few practice swings and you should/might feel a difference. Hope this helps.

My guess sight unseen would also be release. Going straigt left (for a lefty) with good trajectory and distance, says clubface open, in to out swing path.

Check to see that your club face is square to the target at address and that you are not firming up your grip prior to squaring at address.

I had trouble with releasing the club earlier this year when my grip was too weak. I switched to 2.5 knuckles showing on my left hand (your right) and my right hand palm (your left) pointing down the target line, when my grip was completed on the club.

My thought on club release is my right (your left) forearm rolls over my left (your right) through impact. It was my swing thought for several practice sessions and now it is a fairly natural part of my swing.

-E
