My local AFB course just started carrying Taylormade/Maxfli stuff and they had Black Max ball for $5 a sleeve. Hmmm, let's see, 5, 10, 15, 20...

I bought the whole box. Should I tell them of thier mistake or just wait for the next box to be put on the shelf?

In The Bag:
R7 425 10.5 Fujikara ReAx stiff
3,5 Wood Aldila NV 75s
Rescue Dual 16 deg 3i hyb
R7 XD steel/stiff 52deg and 56deg TP White Hot XG 2 ballHome Course: River Crossing

doesn't have to be a mistake... Blackmax is being more or less discontinued and the TP's are taking over as the flagship ball - they probably just cleaning up the inventory. I suspect with a breaks that AFB could get - their cost is a $1 a sleeve anyway

The Blackmax may get slightly less press in the future because of the TM balls, but I would be surprised if they disappeared. After all, Maxfli is a separate brand that has plenty of valuable properties (e.g., the Noodle). Plus, they just signed John Daly up as an endorser and he will be/is currently playing the Blackmax:

Personally - I doubt it. he was signed end of February, that's almost 3 months ago, TM ball wasn't really out there yet, I believe even Sergio didn't start using it until march or april... I'm sure big John will make them give him the best ball they have

My understanding is that they'll continue to create BlackMAX for John, but they have the RedMAX and the Noodles, and I think that's all they'll be developing going forward. They'll look to get John, I feel, into another ball in the off-season.

I just noticed a local golf store has them in their Memoria Day ad for $30.00 so that makes $20.00 look pretty good.
