you don't list a location, but Golf Galaxy sells a package deal that comes from distance master that is very similar. it's another option to try out as well.

Also, consider going used, you will get a high qualify set for less money and since it's probably your first set you will probably want to end up with something different in a year anyway.

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

The Tour Edge Liftoff set was a bit out of my price range but it did just won a beginner set test on Golf Digest (FI). TY anyway. I ordered the Forgan Series 2 set.

I have a set that is going up on ebay this sunday, the 08 Callaway Big Bertha irons. These are incredibly forgiving and really help promote a high ball flight (was the hardest part for me as a beginner). I got them mid last summer with a handicap around 25 or so and now have a 10. I just purchased a set of mizuno's and so the Callaways are going. I suggest you consider used clubs as there are great deals out there to be found. Ping me if your interested I'd be happy to sell em 275 shipped I can email you pics and more info. Standard grips, length, loft, lie. Regular flex shafts.

Tour Burner 10.5 R
mp 57's
Vokey Spin Milled 56.10

For your first set, shop around in the shops and online and get as much used equipment as you can. You'll most likley end up replacing the clubs you start with in a year or so anyway so you dont have to spring on new stuff now.

    • Day 446 - 2025-12-20 Woke up early and got some swings in before teaching putting all day. Looking forward to doing the same tomorrow.
    • It's miles better, though.
    • Went up to Erie for a lesson. I still need to work on how I shift my weight into my right leg and turn into the right leg. I extend it too much and externally rotate it too much. That all causes me to over rotate the hips and cause weight shift issues in the downswing. I need to feel like my right leg gains flex (it doesn’t), and my knee cap faces forward. The right hip sinks back and right. I need a need a ton more internal rotation. I still have some right elbow issues in the backswing. The path is better, but too much right elbow bend. I need to maintain width in the right elbow and let my right shoulder retract more, let’s say at A3, which helps keep that right arm extended.
    • Day 130 12-20 Today was just swinging what i had and go from there. Did focus on getting to lead side. Recorded swings for lesson  and hit real balls.
