The last song I hear on the radio before I get out of my car has a way of lodging itself deep within me...I catch myself humming or singing it in between shots, especially if I'm walking.

I can't explain it, it's both comical and infuriating, especially if that last song happens to be less than desirable. Does this happen to anyone else?

"Hey! Llama! How about something..you know..for the effort.."

This happens to me all the time. Two days ago, the song that was in my head while playing golf, was Taylor Swift's "Love Story" song...that was embarrassing...

I try to use it to my advantage and hum it for my buddies so they get it stuck in their heads. Laughing at them gets it out of my head, kind of like passing on a cold!!!!

The worst is when it's a song that totally messes with your tempo....something like "Come On Eilleen" by Dexys Midnight Runners (that one always gets me).

I have actually become quite careful about what I listen to on the way to the course. A song affects your mood and your mood affects your game. I try to listen to tunes that are medium tempo and up-beat.

I realized how important this was after listening to Mickey Newbury one morning. He was a brilliant song writer, but his music trended toward the downer end of the spectrum. Not what you want running in the background while you are playing golf. SubPar

My swing has often been compared to Joe Cocker singing on stage so I usually play his CD on the way to the course than humm a few bars on the first few holes.I get bye with a little help from my friends

it happens to me all the time and i just try and sing another song to get the one out of my head. If there is a song i don't like then i'll try and sing "you and me go fishin' in the dark"(yes, the country song), or something to pump me up like disturbed songs (i have a wide range). If none of this works, i always have my zen (ipod knockoff but better) at my side.

Thank god, I thought that I was the only person that experienced this. I had some miserable lady gaga song stuck in my head for all 18 holes once - I played terrible.
