Callaway Warbird

Today I decided to use some of the Callaway Warbirds I have that my mom got me for Christmas.
I was just wondering what your views on this ball are.

Hard, no spin around the greens, clicky on the putter.

They are hard balls and likely long off the tee. If you like hard balls, you will love them. Otherwise, just use them for driving when you might lose your tee shot in the woods or water.

I tried a dozen a few months ago.

They gave solid distance and felt okay.

They did release upon hitting the greens....no grabbing bite....but that's to be expected.

Overall I felt they were fairly priced and performance exceeded my expectations.

I recieved a free sleeve of Callaway HX Hot Plus balls for renewing one of my golfing mag subscriptions....can't remember which one. These balls were simply awesome. I was highly.....highly.....again highly impressed with the driver distance I got on these. The holes I used them found me hitting driver and PW, UW and SW into the par 4s. The wedges flew high and true and bit nicely. They putted extremely well and feel was very nice. I will be buying more of these in the future. In fact, once I exhaust my supply of NIKE One balls I'll be gaming a couple dozen Callaway HX Hot Plus....gotta start looking around on ebay.com....been seeing multi-dozen orders with free shipping for low $$$.

I ran into Todd, from thesandtrap.com, at my home course's range on Friday. He gave me a couple of the Diablo balls to try. Gonna give 'em a try on my next round. I'll post my opinions. Thanks for the balls, Todd !!!

HARD BALL! At this point in my game, I like something much softer at compression. I also look for something that will bite on the greens, but minimizes sidespin.

I usually play Titleist NXT/NXT Tours, but recently I tried the Nike One Vapor balls, and besides the fact that the covers don't last long, I was pretty impressed.

Diablo is a really fun ball. No serious spin around the greens, but it putts beautifully. It's also very soft and springy. You'll probably like it off the tee.

For a 2-piece ball, the Warbird is pretty decent. You wont get much spin and they do feel clicky, but thats no different than any other 2-piece ball.
