Welcome to the forum My suggestion, get some Callaway Big Bertha irons. I hit them and love them. Very forgiving. I have graphite shafts and get a high trajectory. Most would say get steel shafts as they are likely more accurate/consistent. Go to the Callaway Preowned site. Lots of Big Bertha iron sets there. From different years. Some newer, some older. Not too much difference in them from what I can see. Mine are made in 1994. They are the "Gold" models. But they were made in 1996, 1997, 200?, etc.. several models of Big Bertha irons. Get something that is in "Good" or "Like New" condition on that website and I feel sure you will be pleased.

I bought my 18 year old son a set of Ben Hogan BH5 irons at Big 5 for 199.00 and imho they are terrific clubs.
