In the off season I made a major swing change. I went from a handsy timing swing to a fundamentally sound 1 plane swing. My grip is neutral, but because of my handsy swing before I went with a double wrap midsize grip to take my hands out of it a bit. Now that my swing is different the grips dont feel right, and I am thinning alot of shots and leaving the ball right, while losing about 5-10 yds on irons and 20 yds on driver. Would it be beneficial to go back to a standard grip size? Thanks guys.

It would be very beneficial if the grips are for sure the problem. If the grips are too big, then you can for sure leave it out to the right. I bought a used driver that HUGE grips on them and I couldn't get a ball to stop going right for nothing.

What about the thin issue. I am thinking my hands arent releasing fast enough and that is why. I just ordered a set of the White/Blk Golf Pride Decades, but I dont want to waste them if its not the problem. I put myself on video and everything looks solid, on plane, and balanced.

Well, if the grips are too big then that takes more of your hands out of it...I could see that holding up the club closing at impact and causing a thin shot as well. I am sure that someone will chime in that has maybe had this same issue before. For me, a grip that is too big completely throws me off.

You could go to your local golf pro shop and just get an old smaller grip and see if that fixes the problem. If it does, then you can use your new grips. If not then, you haven't wasted your new grips.
