Just curious if anyone has dealt with the following ebay member (here's a link to his site)

http://stores.shop.ebay.com/Golf-Bal...__W0QQ_armrsZ1

I was kind of interested in buying 50 balls that were AAAA quality. Little skeptical after reading his FAQ section where it stated...

All of our balls go through a process which includes taking the outer clear coat off, cleaning, whitening, prepping and putting the clear coat back on. This sets our product apart from other companies by making all of our balls more consistent.

He does offer a 30-day money back guarantee so I might give it a go just for that reason but would like to here any input from others. Thanks.

Don't do it.

I have used Precept Laddie balls for years. They are on sale for $11 (for TWO dozen) at Amazon. I had bought some for $18/two dozen a while back. Just bought six more dozen the other day when I saw them for $11/double dozen. I think The Golf Warehouse (or Edwin Watts) has the double dozen for $19 all the time on their websites. Just incredible golf balls for that price. Soft balls, long off the tee, can't beat them for the money. Not for double the money. Links below...

I have not bought from that particular seller but I did buy from Golfball Monster, 3 dz NXT Tour. I have played the balls and don't see any difference between them and ones right out of the box. 1 dz had logos, some of them were pretty big, 1 dz looked brand new. Doesn't answer your question, but I think it was worth my money to try the used ones.

Yeah, wanna make 14 dollars the hard way?

I have had good luck with used golf balls both from Ebay and Golfsmith. Golfsmith sells boxes of "Reloaded" NXT's for $10. The only thing that worries me about the seller you've pointed out is the process of stripping off and re-applying the clear coat. For me, I'd rather just have balls that have been found, cleaned and repackaged. It would be nice if I knew for sure that the reloaded balls weren't my own

What's in my bag?

There is a HUGE difference between "recycled" and "refurbished". I have and never will trust "refurbished" balls. These balls typically have their clear coat and paint stripped then reapplied and tend to be like a box of chocolate…you never know what you are going to get.

"Recycled" balls typically go through some kind of cleaning process which keeps the integrity of the ball intact. If I ever buy used "recycled" would be the only way I would go.

Remember it's what's inside that counts.

    • Fantastic selection! And very little driving between them. Fingers crossed the weather is good to you.
    • Day 20: 2026.01.22 Hit about twenty balls at the range. Quietly pleased with how the changes are bedding in, surprsingly consistent ball flight. Hoping to film over the weekend to capture new movement.
    • You might also consider a tune-up lesson. Check and see if anything in your set-up or basic swing is holding you back. I have been playing for more than five decades, but on occasion I've had to make swing tweaks due to age, loss of flexibility, etc. You don't have to reinvent your swing. A couple of static set-up changes might really help out.
    • Good advice. In general, you want to take whatever weight you are lifting to a couple of reps before failure, for muscle growth. There are other tactics for PT related stuff. I would trust your PT person.  For muscle growth, you can go like 30 reps to failure. It is tougher to gauge. Also, it takes 2x as long to do the same number of working sets per week if you are doing 15 instead. It is way less efficient, but your case is special because of the injury/aggravation to the hip.
    • Several years ago I got paired with a twosome of golfers, one of which had a maybe 5-year-old son with him. The kid had a putter and a 7i with him, and on some holes he would drop a ball near the green, chip on, and putt. If the kid started to get distracted, the dad would ask, "Do you need to rest?" The kid would nod yes, and then take his dad's seat riding in the cart for a couple of holes. It was a slow day, and the kid was polite and friendly. We got through 18 just fine. (If it had been a crowded course day, I'm sure it would have been less pleasant.)
