Hi all, i'm in the market for some new wedges.

I'm whats known as a digger and my home course is a nice lush parklands course.

I currently have a couple of MD Golf Superstrong players wedges which i believe have fairly low bounce 8-10deg i think.

I had a few hits of my pals Cleveland CG14 56deg 14bounce wedge and got on really well with it. The problem with the MD wedges i have is if you are a tiny bit fat i take a huge divot but the ball doesn't go anywhere!

Is there any other high bounce wedges that you can recommend?

The Mizuno MP series are great wedges, especially if you play forged irons. They come in a 14, and if you still find yourself digging and hitting fat shots, just round off the leading edge a bit with a grinder. Your local club repair shop can help you with that.

Besides getting some wedges with high bounce, i dont have a specific maker in mind. Cleveland, Callaway, Titleist, and Mizuno all make great wedges.
THE WEAPONS CACHE..

Titleist 909 D2 9.5 Degree Driver| Titleist 906f4 13.5 degree 3-Wood | Titleist 909 17 & 21 degree hybrid | Titleist AP2 irons

I have the three wedges below. I don't notice a difference in feel between the forged and not forged. They feel different but not better. If I were to buy new wedges, I would probably buy all Vokeys but the others are really nice too. My mizuno isn't as forging as the Vokey it replaced (it was really worn out). I would recommend the 56.14 vokey if you want a good amount of bounce and a great wedge. I don't like alot of bounce but I tend to not take huge divots and play firm sand.

try the MacGregor Vfoil 56 degree EZ out wedge. It has a completely rounded sole that would help prevent digging. I got one used for $20 and love it.

I used to think I needed forged wedges before I bought my vokey a few weeks back.

I hit 2 flags from 75 yards in the other day, neither of them dropped so I may go back to my mizunos.......NOT!

I'm a fan of the Mizuno MP series also, I had a set of Vokey RTG, but did not like them as well. They just didn't seem to have the feel I was looking for.

i a Cleveland kind guy when it comes to wedges. i have 2 CG14s and love them both. they are both relatively forgiving and put some nice spin on the ball. i give one vote for CG14.

I just bought a new set the other week. Cleveland 588's gunmetal DSG, brand new from a golf shop on Ebay. Fast shipping too, I had the clubs in 4 days from time of order. These are awesome wedges man. Best I have ever hit. Very easy to hit. The whole set (lob-sand-gap) was only $209. Great deal for high quality wedges like Cleveland. If you don't use Ebay, I think Edwin Watts website has these left for about $69/each. This is last years model if I am not mistaken. Best way to buy golf equipment. They were about $110 when new. Link below. Great set of wedges.

Hi Guys,

I need some help but i didn't really think it warranted a thread as i can get some quick answers on this thread.

I may well be getting some Mizuno MP52 irons soon, and the PW is 47*. I currently have a 56* and a 60* wedge, but i can go straight from 47*-56*.

I would rather just be a 3 wedge guy, because i carry a pencil bag, and things get pretty tight in my bag when i am carrying too many clubs.

So my question is, what 2 wedge lofts should i have after the 47*?
When i buy the new mizuno set, i get a free mizuno wedge of any loft.

Thanks

Will
