Time for new irons?

I've been playing around with the idea of getting another set of irons. I don't have a lot of money right now to spend on a brand new set but I was thinking about picking up a set of either the Titleist DCI 962 or Ping Eye 2. I've heard great things about both of those irons and they can be purchased fairly cheap.

I grew up playing a set of my dad's old Wilson blades and I'm currently using a cheap set of Dunlop irons out of a $180 set. I've never really hit a nice set of irons before. Would I benefit from going to either of those iron sets? If so, which one would you recommend and why? I'm also open to other suggestions. Thanks in advance

If your game is comfortable hitting blades i would look into a used yet of TaylorMade 300 serious forged irons... great irons and very pure. The pings are also a nice set if you can find them.

I think I want to stay away from the blades for right now. I'm not confident enough in my longer irons to go that route just yet. I would love to go to a blended set but can't afford that right now.
