I just got this used for a really good deal. It replaced my counterfeit Burner.

I was testing the burner at the pro shop to compare with other drivers and the head fell off, for the second time!!!! So i bought the r7.,

I just want o hear your thoughts on this club, and how much adjustments have you made wityh it.

I guess I'm wondering if you have adjusted to improve your game, or if you adjusted your club to fit your game?
It's the indian, not the arrow! But it sure is nice to have good arrows!!!!!

I grabbed one of these in the winter. I was hitting the ball like nobody's business for my frist 4 or 5 times out. It is supposed to be draw bias, but I was hitting it straight as an arrow.

Now, of course, I got dumb. I was getting upset that it wasn't going far enough, because I bought the HT model. So I started trying to adjust to bring it lower. Now I've goofed my game entirely and can't hit my driver to save my soul.

Its an extremely good club at the current prices. I just wish I could pay someone to hit it for me.

Interesting...when i picked it up at the pro shop, it was setup for slight fade, yet I was hitting the biggest hooks of my life!, I changed the weight for neutral, and went back to slicing. I have yet to try it on draw, but I have a feeling that this might go straight, and why not....everythings else was all over the place!

I've been using it for a few weeks now but I think I will be going back to my old R7. The CGB Max is a club you have to swing very smooth due to the fact that the shaft is so light. Good luck!

The stock shaft is waaay light and a bit of torque I feel... Plus the closed face means no matter how you move the weights she is gonna go left.

I should say I have a really slow swing. Like, measured in hours per mile slow. :)

Then the CGB Max should be a good clubd for you. It's designed for people with slower swing speeds; this is right from the Taylor Made website.

Slow SS....I have not had my S measured...but I do know that my Ball speed is around 130 - 140 when I was testing the r7. Is there a formula to converting BS into SS?

I believe that TM rates it to SS upto 90 mph.

What shaft did you put on it?

Yes, quick and dirty, ones ball speed is typically 1.45 times ones club head swing speed. So, 130MPH ball speed would translate into roughly 90 MPH swing speed.

I had my SS measured yesterday....during warm up I averaged 84.8, but once I was loose and ready I got up to 101 / 102. The odd thing was that I did not see much gain in distance. At 84 I was around 210 and at 101 I was 220-225. Then again I was told to switch to a 9 or 9.5 degree driver from my 10.5.

I know that the cbg Max has a SS of upto 90mph, but I was hitting just as effective the cbg with a 10.5 loft, as I was the 9 loft G10 Ping and the 10.5 loft 909 D2 Titliest. I have to say that the closed face on the cbg was very noticable. I was about 15 - 20 yards draw versus the other two. The Titliest was very nice I actually had a nice natural draw with it.

Man the wifee will kill me if I tell het I need a new driver! LoL I guess I'm gonna have to do some more shores at home
